I’m Kat, a dedicated parent of three with a profound passion for perinatal mental health. Having transitioned from midwifery, I am now a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). My extensive experience—over 10 years in perinatal health care and peer support—shapes my practice, which is rooted in anti-oppressive, inclusive, and culturally safe mental health approaches.
Drawing from Filipinx Liberation Psychology, I emphasize the importance of connectedness and shared humanity for a harmonious life. I am committed to providing a supportive, collaborative, and brave space where you can navigate the complexities of perinatal transitions and reconnect with your inner wisdom.
My areas of focus include: relational dynamics and disconnection, obstetric violence, birth trauma, racism and discrimination, grief and loss, blending families, sex and pleasure, and raising interracial children. Overall, I hope to help you reconnect with your embodied wisdom, restore trust in your innate ability to parent yourself, your children and/or your wider community.
Your story is important, and I am eager to understand where you are, the challenges you face, and the future you envision. It would be an honour to support you on this journey.

As a queer, trans, and neurodivergent therapist, I understand how hard it can be to find a therapist who understands what members of our communities go through. Instead of trying to change your authentic self to fit societal norms, we can work towards your individual goals, whatever your goals may be.

Life can be challenging and isolating, especially when parts of ourselves do not align with what is expected or deemed normal. My journey towards therapy started when I was diagnosed with a chronic illness that left me searching for compassion, meaning, and community. As a result, I have committed my practice to offering a safe space where people feel heard, supported, and valued.
I hold a Master’s in Health Studies that provided me with a unique perspective of the medical system and power structures that shape how we experience physical and emotional wellbeing. Having a Master’s in Educational Counselling has provided me with the tools to help clients challenge the beliefs that don’t serve them and instead connect with their truth and strength. I meet clients with an integrative approach that draws from Solution-Focused, Narrative, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapies. These modalities create space for people to make meaningful change, tap into their resilience, and find sustained relief.

It is my belief that the most meaningful therapy is grounded in collaboration, trust, and the client-therapist rapport. I strive to maintain a practice that is authentic, transparent, and honours the courage it takes to arrive in therapy. My approach is integrative and often draws from both person-centred and narrative methodologies as well as my lived experience as a queer, neurodiverse, and transgender person. I strive to create a warm and inclusive space that fosters collaboration, discussion and self-exploration.

Are you feeling stuck in patterns of self-doubt, anxiety, or relationship struggles? If you’re ready to heal from cultural expectations, generational trauma, or the pressure to prioritize others—especially in the Filipino or Asian Canadian community—I’m here to help. My goal is to support you in building confidence, setting healthier boundaries, and reconnecting with your authentic self. Together, we’ll create a compassionate space to explore your emotions, break painful cycles, gain clarity, and develop the tools you need to thrive—not just for yourself, but for future generations.
Growing up in Toronto as a mixed-race Filipino-Guyanese second-generation child, raised by a single mother in a working-class immigrant family, I deeply understand what it means to feel different. I know how it feels to be invalidated, misunderstood, and pressured by family and societal expectations. I have struggled with eldest daughter syndrome, generational trauma, and the constant feeling of never being “good enough.” These lived experiences shape my approach to therapy—I see you, I understand, and I’m here to help.
As a therapist, I believe in the power of culturally sensitive and integrative care and embracing the richness of multicultural identity. Your unique experiences and cultural background will always be honoured in our work together. My approach is safe, collaborative, empathic, and non-judgmental, fostering a space to heal, grow, and truly see yourself with compassion.
Wherever you are on your healing journey, you are welcome here. Together, we’ll navigate your inner world, uncover your hidden strengths, and illuminate new paths forward. And because healing doesn’t always have to be heavy, expect a few lighthearted moments along the way—after all, laughter can be its own kind of therapy!
Are you feeling stuck in patterns of self-doubt, anxiety, or relationship struggles? If you’re re... Read More

As a queer, disabled Iranian woman, I know what it’s like to move through the world carrying stories, identities, and wounds that don’t get the space they need to breathe. Whether you’re navigating intergenerational trauma, relationships, anxiety, or the weight of trying to belong somewhere- you don’t have to do it alone. In fact, you shouldn’t - much of the available research on good mental health outcomes tells us that healing is almost never achieved in a vacuum. Being in community with others is essential to your wellness, and learning how to be in community by following the lead of a kind and affirming therapist that understands the full extent of your nuances can be a transformative first step into the rest of your life.

I take a trauma- and social justice-informed approach that allows me to consider the impacts of the systems your stories exist within. My ability to think relationally and systemically using a post-modern lens allows me to see each client as a whole person and not just a problem to be “fixed” or defined by one narrative.
